Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all quotations, consultations, supply and installation work carried out by BDR Bathroom Innovation Ltd (Company No. SC882158, registered office 21 Kingston Road, Kirkcaldy KY2 6FE), trading as BDR Bathroom Innovation, Unit 30, Dunnikier Business Park, Midfield Drive, Kirkcaldy KY1 3LW.

1. Quotations

Quotations are valid for [30] days from the date issued. Prices are based on the scope of work agreed at survey stage; unforeseen structural, plumbing, or electrical issues discovered once work has begun may incur additional costs, which will be discussed with you before proceeding.

2. Deposits & Payment

For supply-and-fit projects, payment is taken in three stages:

  • Deposit — payable at the time of booking to secure your installation date in our diary. This is typically £1,000, though a reduced deposit (e.g. £500) may apply for smaller-scope projects such as a WC room, at our discretion.
  • Product balance — the full cost of your bathroom products, less the deposit paid, is due 14 days before your installation start date.
  • Labour — payable on completion of the installation.

For supply-only orders, payment is required in full at the time of order.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

The deposit is payable at the time of booking and is non-refundable from that point if the booking is subsequently cancelled. We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule, so we can offer your slot to another customer.

4. Workmanship Guarantee

All installation work carried out by BDR Bathroom Innovation is guaranteed against defects in workmanship for a period of 1 year from completion. This guarantee covers our labour only; it does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, or work carried out by others. This guarantee applies to supply-and-fit projects only; it does not apply to supply-only orders, where installation is not carried out by us.

5. Manufacturer Warranties

Products supplied (baths, showers, tiles, sanitaryware, fittings) carry the manufacturer's own warranty. Warranty terms and length vary by product and manufacturer. Where a product requires registration to activate its warranty, this is the customer's responsibility to complete; BDR Bathroom Innovation is not responsible for a warranty claim being refused due to a product not being registered. We are happy to assist in facilitating a claim where we supplied the item.

6. Supply-Only Orders

Where BDR Bathroom Innovation supplies products only, without installation, responsibility for correct installation passes to the customer or their chosen installer. Our workmanship guarantee (Section 4) does not apply to supply-only orders.

7. Access & Site Conditions

The customer is responsible for providing clear access to the work area, and for ensuring the property is suitable for the agreed works. Delays caused by restricted access, incomplete preparatory works, or third-party trades are outside our control and may affect the project timeline.

8. Variations

Any changes to the agreed scope of work requested after works have commenced will be quoted separately and may affect the overall price and completion date.

9. Liability

BDR Bathroom Innovation carries public liability insurance. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in a property's structure, plumbing, or electrics not identified at survey, nor for issues arising from work carried out by other parties.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
